Free Roller Skate Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

While putting together a care package for a friend who plays roller derby, I wanted to make something relevant. Originally I planned to make a roller skate pillow, but after I started making it, I could tell that it wouldn’t be a comfortable pillow.

I decided to go the opposite direction, and freehanded a small roller skate. I didn’t plan to write a pattern, but it turned out so cute that I just had to get it down so I could make more in the future! (And now so can you!)

The skate itself is fairly quick to make, and the wheels are very simple. I think a beginner could easily make this, as long as you’re willing to look up any techniques you don’t know yet.

Sew the wheels to the bottom of the skate, 2 on each side. I suggest using color A.

Use a single piece of yarn (color B) to add laces.

A pair of these would be cute to hang up as a decoration or as fuzzy dice. (Do people still hang those from the rear-view mirror?) Made with a smaller yarn and hook, you could even crochet a roller skate keychain!

And now… let the good times roll!
